Opening of the Cartoon Exhibition "Iran and Human Rights"
After the European Parliament banned the cartoon exhibition "Iran and Human Rights" on the grounds of being “controversial,” the AJC Transatlantic Institute along with ththe four Members of Parliament co-hosting the exhibit—Lars Adaktusson (EPP), Péter Niedermüller (S&D), Anders Vistisen (ECR) and Petras Auštrevičius (ALDE)— relocated the installation to the Biblioteque Solvay.
The exhibition featured satirical cartoons by the The Israeli Cartoon Project, a group of artists who consider their work an act of solidarity with the Iranian people.
