Highlights from Sebastian Kurz's Keynote Speech on EU-Israel Relations and Jewish Life in Europe
The AJC Transatlantic Institute hosted Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz for a historic address on strengthening EU-Israel relations and Jewish life in Europe. The audience of nearly 300 included dozens of ambassadors from Europe, the U.S., and Israel, lawmakers from the European, Austrian and Belgian parliaments, Jewish and other faith leaders from across Europe, EU officials, diplomats, media and civil society representatives.
AJC Berlin Director Deidre Berger, writing in the “Jüdische Allgemeine,” calls on the German government to outlaw the anti-Semitic terror organization Hezbollah. Germany’s word carries weight. Others would undoubtedly follow. This step would also be a practical contribution in the fight against anti-Semitism and for Israel’s security.
