International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2018
"The Idea to Disappear"

On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the AJC Transatlantic Institute, the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Mission of Israel to the EU co-organized a screening of the “The Invisibles” for 90 pupils of the International German School of Brussels. The film is based on the unlikely story of Hanni Lévy who, like many other Jews in Berlin during the Second World War, changed their identity and appearance in order to escape deportation to the concentration camps.

Following the screening, Hanni Levy shared in person her moving story and gave the pupils the opportunity to hear directly from a Holocaust survivor and the life-saving “Idea to Disappear.”
