TAI co-hosts U.S. Foreign Policy Expert Ilan Berman on Russia-Iran Axis

TAI co-hosted Senior Vice President of the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC) Ilan Berman in partnership with the Free Russia Foundation, a think tank promoting democracy in Russia. The closed-door event brought together a select group of 40 policy experts, think tankers and journalists to discuss Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and Tehran’s support for Moscow.

Berman highlighted Iran’s role as a critical supplier of weapons to Moscow and the alignment of the two regimes in the regional conflicts across the Middle East, where both share strategic interests. The discussion, moderated by TAI’s Deputy Director Benedetta Buttiglione, was followed by a lively Q&A session where the participants eagerly engaged with Berman, drawing on his encyclopedic knowledge of the domestic and foreign policies of the U.S., Russia and Iran.
